Fortress is the swamp faction in Heroes3, featuring reptilian and amphibious creatures. Its army includes Gnolls, Lizardmen, Serpent Flies, Basilisks, Gorgons, Wyverns, and Hydras. Fortress heroes are Beastmasters (might) and Witches (magic), specializing in Defense and creature abilities. Known for Mighty Gorgons with death stare and multi-headed Hydras that attack all adjacent units, Fortress offers a unique defensive playstyle in HoMM3.
